Georgia: CBD

In 2015, Governor Nathan Deal signed HB 1 into law, allowing for a limited amount of medical cannabis use for patients with qualifying conditions. However, the production and dispensing of cannabis is not allowed. In 2016, a bill was introduced by State Representative Allen Peake that would have allowed for the growing and selling of medical cannabis in the state. Unfortunately, the initiative was unsuccessful.

Qualifying Medical Conditions:

Cancer, ALS, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, mitochondrial disease, Parkinson’s, sickle cell disease.
